Quebec City 2022 New Year!! — 3 years ago
The 2016 La Gaffelière is superb. Vivid and precise, with layers of nuance, the 2016 is a wine of real clarity. Blood orange, lavender, rose petal and mint add brightness to this stunningly beautiful Saint-Émilion. La Gaffelière is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, and it is the Franc that gives the wine so much character and complexity. This is just an irresistibly captivating Saint-Émilion. 2016 Sauvignon Blanchard is fruit forward and very drinkable. — 8 years ago
An oily orange wine with a cute etiquette. Friends and I chose slices of liver and well cooked onions as our secondo which was a pretty good decision :) — 9 years ago

Approachable Right Bank. Blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet franc from a 0.47 hectare plot in Montaigne Saint Émilion. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in used French oak barrels for 12 months. Intense nose with jammy dark fruit (blackberry, blueberry) aromas, leather, graphite and hints of menthol and violets. Well integrated oak. Medium-to-full bodied, round, juicy blackberry flavors. Smooth, velvety tannins. A great surprise — 5 years ago
Some tasty funk, didn't snap as much as expected — 8 years ago
Great wine, great fruit forward taste with solids structure and balance. I'm really enjoying it, and the owner is a great guy — 9 years ago
A powerful, authoritative wine, the 2012 Paveil de Luze is shaping up to be one of the under-the-radar gems of the year. Earthy and smoky notes add nuance, but it is the wine's explosive, deep personality that stands out most. Expressive floral, savory and ferrous notes meld into the expressive finish. Although the 2012 is more power than finesse, it offers exceptional balance and tons of personality. The blend is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. This is an impressive effort from Paveil de Luze, a Margaux property that could probably be a classified growth. Simon Blanchard is the consulting winemaker. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous) — 9 years ago
Costco. No vintage — 2 years ago
Rather Shocking, poured like a medium dark rose and thought it’s really shot but it’s terrific! A natural wine where the sourness mostly mellowed with age? Le Grand Clere Sauvignon 12.5ABV full of life and energy so often ascribed to orange wines but this one is real, with eight years in bottle no less. — 3 years ago
Dinner with Lum brothers and visiting Grafs. Interesting tasty red that fizzed when poured and continued to jump rope and dance around on palate. Fresh, vivacious, full of youthful energy and oh such a perfect suitor marrying the Chinese meats. Others say sour but JG says grows on him. No kidding. Only 11.5 ABV. Yummy. What a great Asian food wine and a red! JL email says 2015 but looks like a 2015 and a 2016 were delivered, according to the labels. Latter was opened tonight. — 8 years ago
Dark ruby red with nice balance and firm tannins. Aromas of ink and licorice. — 9 years ago
Surprisingly crisp and delicious. A nice alternative to the Sav Blanchard I drown myself in every summer. — 9 years ago
