More new oak than the Columbia Syrah. Tighter as well. Blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, black plum and blue fruit notes, loads of spice & baking spices, caramel & dark decayed florals. It's a little hot on alcohol for me. Finishes dry and edgier than their softer Columbia Valley Syrah. Like them both the same for their very different Syrah styles. Photos of; their tasting room which was a school until the early 1970's. L'Ecole translates from French to English as school. Tasting room antique hutch and the old school house blackboard in their private tasting room. — 7 years ago
Nice old world style Cab from Chalk Hill. Dusty blackboard intermingling of herbs, eucalyptus. Blackberry and crushed black currant rising. Very nice — 10 years ago

A combination of Bordeaux varietals, this red wine was a real treat. It is an excellent choice from the Columbia Valley. — 5 years ago
