Barca Do Inferno

Quinta do Vale Meão

Tinto Douro Touriga Nacional Blend 2010

This is in a tie for the best Portuguese dry red with Pera Manca and Barca Velha. Very classical register, no new wood you can detect. Rich, bold, but complex and profound. Its in its infancy, we decanted an hour before. Its all good here and a wine we wish we had more bottles. Great stuff !!! — 2 years ago

Quinta do Vale Meão

Meandro Douro Red Blend 2007

One of the better years I have had of this wine. It is the second wine if Quinta Do Vale Meão, which contributed a lot of its grapes to Barca Velha in its history. 13 years later, it still has vibrant fruit, but is also developing secondary qualities as well. Can equally be enjoyed with a steak as with a meat pizza, as I did. — 3 years ago

Cantina Ar.Pe.Pe.

Fiamme Antiche Inferno Valtellina Superiore Nebbiolo 2011

2011. Bought off the list. Nebbiolo outside the Piedmonte. DOCG from the region. Lovely nose. Very approachable. Could do another bottle of that! — 9 years ago
