The best Virginia has to offer from the great Barboursville Vinyards. Warm tannins, plum, light burnt wood. — 17 days ago
Too soon, so I reckon. Ought to have kept my trap shut, my hands to themselves, lest they get to the devils work of openin bottles too soon — 3 months ago
B&T both. Very smooth, low tannins. — 4 months ago
Apple, lemon curd, grapefruit, peach and slate. Great acidity and balance. — 8 months ago
Supurb vintage, still has a great bouquet of plum, charcoal, allspice.
Tasting notes of earthy origins, may have some Cabfranc body.
What a splendid surprise.

This followed a bottle of Barboursville Virginia Octagon. Good call. This is awesome with a holiday supper with dear friends and family. Supple black fruits, smoked meat classic Syrah nose. 🎶"Heaven, I'm in heaven..."🎶 — 3 months ago
So 2015 presented above average growing conditions… So, this should be a pretty complete expression of this varietal. I am impressed with the taste of maturity from this terroir and old vines. Where I hold back in complete jubilation is this wind focus on savoriness. It had balance yet lacked that little pop of fruit “color”... sort of a sepia tint to the profile. I have more in the cellar and we will see how it develops. If I need a rustic wine, this is where I will go for Luca’s offering. — 6 months ago
