For being a "boxed wine" I rather enjoyed this! It was not bitter, to me, as some cab savs are. — 12 years ago

Bandol: pink or white.
It’s a slight culture shock as a moron gringo in the South of France when wines by the glass are identified not by producer or even by grape but simply by place. Bandol didn’t mean much to me as a place, I drove through it en route to Toulon from Marseille but that was about it. Probably it was the fact that it was a vague homonym for bandit drew me to it — which is admittedly kind of lame, but the wine seemed to deliver. Any more than the progeny of any other Mediterranean town would have? Je ne sais pas. But this wine right here is a phenomenal rosé.

Go to wine for partying. Weak taste but most people like it — 9 years ago
Cellared from release. Color: dark cranberry with watery rim. Nose: berry/cherry tart and a mint Skol bandit. Palate: black fruits, dill and pepper spice. Bittersweet tannins softening but very much still present. 09 has a lot more life yet but I'm really liking where it is now. — 9 years ago

— 11 years ago
Brown shugga, cinnamon and grassy spices. An enormous amount of carbonation, it practically fills your mouth with air. Starts slightly sweet with the same caramel and licorice flavors, but finishes dry. Deceptively light and easy, despite it’s 8%. Named after an infamous French bandit which the owners are related to. Americans, try this, though it will ruin your taste for domestic saisons for life. — 12 years ago
We love this wine! Best when camping. No hassles of an opener or glasses. 🗻⛺ — 13 years ago
Hot damn! Pristine. Juicy, fruity, and mouth watering. Perfectly balanced. 8.5% alc. I found this for $12.50 at a shop in Kearney, Nebraska. Made out like a bandit. Prum me wrong. — 7 years ago
🇦🇺 here we go.
Red Ozzie with the expected young & lively label. A Shiraz & durif blend.
My weekend red had some petit syrah (=durif) in it so this is supposedly known territories.
14% abv
Blackish and dense red 👁️
Dried dark fruit with some mint and smoke and tree leaves on the background 👃
Medium acidity.
Full body with smooth silkness - the boldness Ozzie wine is known for.
Ripe Raspberry and cherry, coffee, vanilla and hints of tobbaco 👄
Light and pleasant dry 🎯 Tannins are there but are very soft.
A well made one.
Paired surprisingly well with Roma style pizza, one with artichoke and the second with spicy (supposedly) pepperoni. Adding some chipotle Tabasco or sriracha to the slice made the wine hotter but still nice.
Very good vfm (about 60 nis as part of half case of a world variety I got delivered)
Next up is a 100% durif. I'm curious. — 7 years ago
