Everything you’d want in an amarone. Burst of flavor at the beginning that then settles back into a relaxed, elegant finish. On the palate, some black plum mixed with a very faint dried cranberry or cherry. It all resolved into a wonderfully balanced finish, that is almost floral, but it’s more deep and complex than just floral. — 6 days ago
Cherry jam and cocoa, graphite, variety of raisin aromas. Really beautiful. All of those aromas come through in the flavors, rich mouthfeel but an elegance overall that makes this captivating. Lots of life left but very delicious right now — 7 days ago
Heavy body with well balanced tannins. Notes of plum, oak, chocolate, berries, and spice. Tasting this at the same time as the Valpolicalla and Ripasso from the same winery. — 18 hours ago
This is a nice Amarone. Showing red and black fruits with wood vanilla earth spices chocolates tobacco mocha and peppercorn.
Dry and fruit forward with a tangy finish.
Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up and shows some tannins (45 minutes).
Simple and good by itself or with food. I paired it with a Filet Mignon and asparagus.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
