Bottled 2016, contains heirloom varieties from their own orchard in Applegate, Oregon: Arkansas Black, Blenheim Red, Macintosh and Rome Beauty. Very clear, yellow brown color, light to moderate carbonation, rapidly collapsing head. Very good mix of flavors; their label claims a profile of “apricot, honeydew, tropical fruit and green apple”. I would back the first three claims. Crisp and dry, as advertised. A touch too much wood for my taste, but otherwise well crafted with an excellent array of fruit. No bitterness and minimal astringency. Good value — 9 months ago
GREAT smooth wine.

2019. Crisp and fruity without being overbearing. Light enough to drink by itself by robust enough to accompany a rice or pasta dish. Like a sweet grapefruit or Meyer lemon. An unexpected surprise. — 6 months ago

My go to... a sparkling muscodine sweet and fruity — a year ago
Yesterday late afternoon with my wife while visiting my son and his wife in Arkansas we had the pleasure of opening the 2017 Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.
On the nose there was beautiful aromatics of grapefruit, guava, lime, grass, orange peel, white flowers and minerality.
On the palate the nose was confirmed with notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lime, orange peel, herbaceous notes and minerality.
The wine is well balanced, medium bodied with high acidity and a nice effervescence quality that leads right into a long fresh, clean crisp finish. A very nice expression of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. This wine was enjoyed by all and everyone expressed their full enjoyment. Have a great week this week and please be safe.
