Very smooth. Still having Covid related taste issues and I can actually taste the flavor of this wine. Very good. First tried it while on a travel nurse contract in Batesville , Arkansas on Aug 17, 2021. — 5 years ago

Quick weekend getaway for the TCU vs Arkansas football game! Always a treat to come up to Fayetteville in the Ozark mountains! I'm a Razorback by marriage, even though I grew up near TCU. A wonderful and beautiful campus and amazing football atmosphere.
Doe's Eat Place is a staple in Fayetteville. Picnic table tops, right off Dixon strip, fat steaks, and an actually decent wine list that is served in red plastic cups unless you buy by the bottle 😂. I've been pleasantly surprised with Stag's Leap over the last few years in regards to their quality...seems to be stepping up a bit/getting back to their roots. This Artemis won't hold forever, but it has a super aromatic nose of blue and black fruits, dates and french bread. Very plush on the palate, and a lengthy finish of licorice, touch of menthol and lots of blueberries and vanilla. Crowd pleaser. — 9 years ago
I think this is an amazing Malbec blend - 58%, 23% Merlot, 10% Cab, 8% Syrah, and 1% Petit Verdot but… it needs to open up a little bit more; I can’t help being impatient- this wine has been 9 years for me to find it tucked away in a small city Arkansas liquor store. Initial impressions are - I love this but and the intricacy of the blend. On the nose - definitely blackberry and black currants. So smooth and perfectly balanced on the palette. I would definitely purchase this again but I’d look for an older bottle for sure! Oh, did I mention this bottle cost under $20? — 2 years ago

Yesterday late afternoon with my wife while visiting my son and his wife in Arkansas we had the pleasure of opening the 2017 Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.
On the nose there was beautiful aromatics of grapefruit, guava, lime, grass, orange peel, white flowers and minerality.
On the palate the nose was confirmed with notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lime, orange peel, herbaceous notes and minerality.
The wine is well balanced, medium bodied with high acidity and a nice effervescence quality that leads right into a long fresh, clean crisp finish. A very nice expression of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. This wine was enjoyed by all and everyone expressed their full enjoyment. Have a great week this week and please be safe. 2015 vintage. We drink this the first time in Little Rock Arkansas at a wine bar and my husband loved it so much he had three glasses! Well balanced and easy to drink. My husband reports that it pairs well with Doritos 😂 — 8 years ago
