Zio Tony Ranch Chardonnay 2004

Oxidized, yes. Drinkable, for sure. Honey, stone fruit wrapped in caramel. Didn’t last long as it died within an hr — a month ago

Benovia

La Pommeraie Pinot Noir 2015

Massive, sexy fruit-forward Pinot Noir from Zio Tony vineyard in the heart of Laguna Ridge. Good vintages of this cuvée are on par with the Cohn in my opinion, and this might be my favorite one yet. On night 3 this really opened up and showed some brooding dark berries, cola and sandalwood, laced with earth and spice. Already quite layered and complex, but needs a year or two in Bottle to show more defined flavors. Big oak tannins are still prevalent. Outstanding effort from an unusually low yielding harvest, this wine has some serious future ahead of it. — 3 years ago

Patz & Hall

Zio Tony Ranch Chardonnay 2017

Wow this is great. Much better with 2 hours of air and closer to room temp. Lemons, a touch of marshmallow cream, some good tropical fruits, some acidity, sea salt, and some lemongrass. — 10 days ago

Martinelli

Zio Tony Ranch Syrah 2002

Very surprised by this. Bold and rich sweet fruit well integrated with the oak. Surprised that the high alcohol did not overwhelm this finely made wine. — a year ago

Zio Tony Ranch Pinot Noir 2018

Ruby color. Mild nose of ripe cranberries. Medium body, dry, mildly acidic, approachable now. Raspberries, cranberries, and strawberries on palate. — a month ago

Zio Tony Ranch "Gianna Marie" Syrah 2003

A real gem. Lots of fruit but well balanced and harmonious! Definitely not too old and drinking quite well — 6 months ago
