Maggy Hawk

Afleet Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2019

Each wine in the series is named for a horse born to Maggy Hawk: Jolie, Afleet, Stormin’ and Unforgettable, and to her sire, Hawkster. Medium Ruby color with aromas of berry fruits with notes of dried herbs, citrus and woody spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cranberry and cherry with espresso, vanilla and herb tea spice, well balanced with acidity. Fine soft tannins on a long finish ending with cacao, spices and slight earthy character. Very nice! — a day ago

Heron Lake Vineyard Chardonnay 2018

Doesn’t bowl you over with concentration but Enfield is all about subtlety and balance. Green apple, pear, slightly bitter lemon finish, not a whiff of butter or vanilla or toast in sight — 3 years ago
