Been a while since posting with dry January and not drinking as much as usual. Had opened this at Thanksgiving for guests. Brings us back to Portugal instantly! Smooth and delicious 😋 — 2 years ago
Magnum 2015 PYCM Les Chenevottes Chassagne Montrachet. Dinner w J&L B at Nob. Awesome. Lots of mineral notes. Loved it. — 3 years ago
1996 Colgin Herb Lamb. HB w Mark R and J&H R. Perfect. Big. Tons of fruit. No decanting. — 4 years ago
Deep Ruby with pronounced aromas of berry fruits, spice and floral notes, a blend of 37% Touriga Nacional, 42% Touriga Franca and various others. On the palate intense flavors of plum, licorice and blackberry flavors, well balanced with lively acidity, full-bodied, big and well structured. Long finish, smooth tannins ending with cacao and rich sweet fruit tones. Very nice! Keep this in the cellar for another decade! — 4 months ago
1994 Screaming Eagle. Dinner w J&L B and D&M H while staying with D&M in Santa Ynez. Opened and waited about an hour. Decanted right before serving. Tons of jammy dark fruit. Opened more in the glass. JB mentioned full palate and balance. Great finish. Preferred this to ‘91 Dominus once this opened up. — 3 years ago
A great tawny! — 3 years ago
This wine throws parties that go late but not too late full of characters but polite ones and also invites you to dinners with other intellectuals that go late and are rich but get deep and down to life on earth. Which is to say it hints at decadence but is cool with just having like, a real deep conversation on literature. Full of blackberry and cassis fruit but with baking spices and something that says mud delicious mud. Vibing with tannins that aren’t knitted in and a certain element that satisfies but leaves you unsatisfied so you take another sip and it may be on purpose to remind you you are mortal. — 9 months ago
2007 Mauro. HB w J&L B, J&J Koz. Drank last, after the ‘95 Artadi and ‘68 Lopez de Heredia. Great! Most lush and fruit-forward of the bunch. Loved it. — 3 years ago

Complex nose with aromas of dark fruit, incense, herbal and medicinal notes. Full-bodied, opulent, balanced, not overly sweet. Impressive — 5 days ago
