Villa Patrizia

Istrico Montecucco Sangiovese 2015

Delectable Wine

Villa Patrizia’s 2015 Istrico Montecucco Sangiovese offers up a mix of dusty cherry and plum with balsamic spice, cedar and wild herbs. Velvety yet fresh and poised, with a fruit staining finish and resonating tannin, the 2015 is a beauty today and has plenty of mid-term potential. $23.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2020) — 5 months ago

Villa Patrizia

Orto di Boccio Maremma Toscana IGT Sangiovese Blend 1996

Small family producer, 95% sangio, 5% merlot, much more savory and floral on the nose, bit of soy sauce, sweet tannins on palate a bit more prevalent, really drinkable and delicious — 7 years ago

Riserva Patrizia Cencioni 123 Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2010

Black cherry, anise, tannin, needs to breathe but is a lovely wine. Lots of fruit. At least a decade left. — 4 years ago

Albatraia Tuscany Ciliegiolo

100% ciliegiolo grape in Tuscany. Aroma of strawberry, raspberry, olive, mint, vanilla and a touch of leather. Smooth and fresh on the tongue. Taste is also strawberry and raspberry but with underlying darker, subtle structure. Good as an aperitif and to carry all the way through Italian dinners. — 3 years ago
