Tenuta San Leonardo

Terre di San Leonardo Vigneti delle Dolomiti Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2017

Terre di San Leonardo is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (40%), and Carmenere (10%), run by the Gonzaga family since its inception in 1724. Wine is fermented with ambient yeasts in concrete tanks and 20% is aged in French oak barrels. Ruby with aromas ripe red fruits and floral notes. On the palate flavors of rich plum and blackberry with herb, light spice and slight earthy notes. Medium+ finish, fine soft tannins, ending with fruit, floral and earthy mineral character. Tremendous value! — 2 months ago

Fontanasanta Vigneti Delle Dolomiti Nosiola 2020

This wine would deserve more reputatuon in my personal opinion.
If you don't know that it ages in clay amphora on the skin for quote a long time, if you don't know that is biodynamic and that altogether there very minimal intervention in the whole process you would just go...WOW!!! It reminds a Chassagne-Montrachet for elegance and balance, a good one i mean
Complexity is there, easy drinking and potential to age. Quite long too. What more do we want? Price for the quality is fair, not cheap, bit not overly expensive(arou d 40euros served in a restaurant)

Pasqua

11 Minutes Rosé Blend 2021

Gorgeous peach and fresh roses on the nose. Very light on the palate and on mouth feel, but with nice acid and notes of unripe peach, plum, and cherry. I’ll wait 11 minutes more to see if anything changes. — 9 days ago

Castel Noarna

Dry, citrus, underripe green apple, crisp acidity. Enjoyable but not that complex. Muscadet like. — 2 months ago

Sgarzon Vigneti delle Dolomiti Teroldego 2014

Popped and poured. 100% Teraldego from a 5 acre parcel and aged in amphora. At this stage the 2014 “Sgarzon” pours a nearly opaque, garnet color. Let’s be clear, there’s definitely some VA, but there is some absolutely gorgeous pomegranates, tart dark brambles, earth, and stewed plums too. A very pretty wine that reminds me why I am so smitten by Elizabetta‘s wines. For my palate, this is showing better than it did back in 2017. Very Italian…but with some Burgundian sensibilities. But even that isn’t fair. These wines are singular. — 2 months ago
