Maison Albert Vevey

Blanc Flapi Prié Blanc

Dessert wine, but not extremely sweet
Very fresh
On the nose is almondy and cheese plus amazingly floral as if you are on an Alps highland where cows are free range
It reminds me of a Malga Toma di Gressonay
On the palate is very citrusy somewhere between an orange rind and a grapefruit plus all the flowers still there and a almondy finish
Very very good
Production is so limited i can't even hope to get another bottle unless i go to visit Val d'Aosta

Definitely more ripeness than I’ve noticed in past vintages. Tbh I might have called this willamette valley blind. Still delicious — 22 days ago

"Blanco" Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Este es el RGMX Tinto. Ensamble de Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon y Cabernet Franc. Notas a frutos negros maduros, compota de fresa y un poco de grosella. Aromas herbales, menta. Acidez y taninos balanceados. Muy buen final. Arriba Parras!! — 8 days ago

Unico Gran Reserva Cabernet Merlot 2015

Mexican blend from Valle de Guadalupe. Good feel on the pallet with all key components showing: fruit, acidity and tannings. Good treat with pork sausage. — 13 days ago

Surprisingly full for a mountain wine. Lovely palate of white fruit with zippy acidity and a mildly bitter finish. Really out plays the $. Seek out! — 9 days ago

Seriously great wine. Dark, fleshy, abundant fruit, well structured, long and elegant tannin structure. More serious than I expected and probably should have waited to open it... — 13 days ago

2014 was a difficult vintage in Italy for everyone.
Enjoy this wine now over the short term while you wait for 2015 and 2016 Brunello.

Suertes del Marqués

Trenzado Blanco Tenerife Valle de la Orotava Listan Blanco Pedro Ximénez 2018

Very reductive on opening. Matchstick and rubber. But in the safe zone - dissipates and is resolved on day two. Nose becomes mineral, with lemons, grapefruit, pear and some quince. So mineral on the palate, salty, great density, body, texture, acid. Such a long finish. Like villages white burgundy filtered through volcanic rock. — 4 days ago

Torrette Petit Rouge Blend 2010

Simply put, the best $20 bottle of wine I’ve had in a very long time, maybe ever. 80% petite rouge, 20% other grapes like fumin, mayolet, and doucet. The nose was tremendous, rising from the glass like perfume, elegant but dense and persistent. Reminded me of a 1er red burgundy meets aged Barolo nose and palate…tertiary red cherry and berries, crushed dried flowers, subtle sandalwood spice, really, really complex! Age your Torrette! — 13 days ago
