Excellent after just a few minutes open at room temp. No sticky sweetness, plenty of spices, no sharp or squeaky tannins. 30 minute decant, which was perfect. Quite possibly one of the best noses I’ve ever experienced from a Napa Cab!! This wine was very much like the ‘05 French Bordeaux’s I’ve been drinking. Purple color. Cherry fruit dominated by smoke, earth, and cedar. Tons of character and silky smooth. I truly believe these Napa Cabs need a lot of aging as is evident by this wine. Can’t remember why I stopped buying Trinchero, but I’m back! Truly enjoyed this! — 7 years ago

From Trinchero Family Estates, a blend of 60% Cab Sauv and 40% Merlot, dark Ruby with bold dark fruit and floral spice aromas. On the palate, ripe fruits, blackberry and cherry with espresso, cinnamon and tar notes. Dusty tannins, some oak with earthy tones on a medium plus finish. Nice offering, but I think ‘12 was a bit better! The Merlot makes it good to drink now. Tasting Sample. — 6 years ago
