An exemplary Chianti. Exhibits all the things the Sangiovese grape can bring to a wine when properly handled. Nice cherry on the nose. Cherry, raspberry and some oak infused complexity. A straightforward Chianti that doesn't pretend to be anything else, but showcases the characteristics of a Tuscan Sangiovese. Smooth drinking with a bit of tartness on the finish. — 9 years ago

We quite liked this, 2021, bottling in 2024. Label does not say “Sangiovese” or “blend” just Vino Rosso but otherwise the same label, the front has an Angel with a torch. Unique scent noticeable, not unpleasant. — 2 months ago
