Allegro Con Spirito

Enebral Tinta de Toro

Nose: very aromatic. Intense dark fruit (almost over ripe) and hints of jam. Hints of some sort of spice come through as well. Alcohol on nose (14.5%) Palate: less interesting palate unfortunately. Muted fruitiness and light minerality with slight earth. — 5 months ago

Roquette e Cazes

Douro Red Blend 2016

Dusty and slight spice of paprika and baking spices. Chewy tannins, good structure that helps make the wine taste hotter than it is. — 11 days ago

Quinta do Crasto

Flor De Crasto Douro Red Blend 2020

Ruby purple in colour. Dark fruits aroma. A little spice, mild tannins with dark stone fruits and a slight smoky hint too.

Enjoyable on its own and with homemade ham and mozzarella pizza.

Cheers! You make your own ham? 🙂

Ah, @Trixie sorry no, that's an error. Homemade pizza dough with some fab locally sourced cheeses and ham.

Still sounds delightful!🍕

Muxagat Vinhos

Douro Tinta Barroca

100% Tinta Barroca, one of the most planted varieties in the Douro, where it is generally used for port blends. From a north-facing plot in Meda (Douro Superior) at 600m elevation. Fermented and aged in concrete vats. Beautiful, fragrant nose. Aromas of ripe fruit (strawberries, strawberry jam and black currant). Medium bodied, bright fruit on the palate. High acidity. — 3 months ago

It's basic, a plum and chocolate, high acidity - which is great with spaghetti with prawns. :) — 3 months ago
