Barovo Vineyards Dry Red Blend 2013

Macedonian Red blend of 65% Kratosija and 35% Vranec. Interesting aromas of dried cherries, rubber and purple flowers. Hint of barnyard funk. Flavors of dark cherry, black olives and black tea. Interesting red/brown color and texture. I think we opened this one at just the right time. Balanced and unique Eastern European red. — a month ago

Tikveš Zilavka 2018

Notes of apples, lemon hard candies, lemongrass on the nose. Lemon rind, minerally steel, white peach, hints of zesty ginger on the finish. Nicely balanced, good value, great for food. Went surprisingly well with veggie pizza. — 7 months ago
