Cherry, raspberry, blackberry, currant, cranberry, vanilla and oak. Full-bodied and moderate tannins. — 20 days ago
Extremely enjoyable, just as before. Bought out the last three bottles at the store this time around. Not a particularly fruity wine, but an enjoyable bit of minerality and funk with a nice carbonation. — a day ago
Vintage 2016 | This wine developed itself fine with a few years cellar. Expressive cassis, decanted three hours, afterwards very good drinking with a good structure. Pierre Ardoin - a oenologist at the Bordeaux university - makes this wine with a wink to its more reputed colleague vintners on the other side of the Gironde river. | paired with bbq, incredible good p/q. — 6 days ago
Nose is kind of uncharacteristically reticent for a Walla Walla Syrah. Gives up a bit of dark red fruit and some scorchy notes. Bit of that campfire ember smokiness lots of Syrahs from here show, but you have to search for it. Very savory and a little scorchy in the mouth, a tad lacking in fruit. I will save some for tomorrow night to see if air helps.
NIGHT 2: Better. More plummy berry fruit on the nose. Softer and fruitier in the mouth. Upping score from 8.7 to 8.9, with the caveat that this needs air to show its stuff. — 7 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over three days. Consistent across the three days but seemed to be a little more open on Day 3. No formal notes. Loads of character in this wine. Star fruit, pear, lemon, gardenias, petrol and a massive amount of minerals: rocks and ferrous material. Absolutely sizzling with youthful energy. Long on the finish and wonderful acid. I want more. — 10 days ago
Last of the three bottles. Quite oxidative notes. Very low minerality and even sweet.
V. Good wine but will definetly not hold it so long next time. Max 5-6 years. — 5 days ago
On the nose very fruity, the taste on the front and finish is black cherry. Deep red. Very good easy to drink. 11$ a glass 44$ a bottle. Very good and easy and smooth to drink — 11 hours ago
