Got this on a Martha Stewart wine club sale, and is very impressed. Very heavy wood and spice with a long finish. I loved it. — 5 months ago
Lovely meritage with a bite which is delicious, accompanied by a fine Black Cat dinner. 60 cab, 20 merlot, 20 malbec, 6 petite verdot — 6 months ago

It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a delicious Cabernet from Napa Valley.
Dark ruby in color with a short purplish rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, leather, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, coke, coffee, light vinaigrette, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, light plums, cedar, chocolates, vanilla, leather, earth, tobacco, spices, peppercorn, graphite, coke and pencil lead.
Long finish with firm tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a great Napa Cabernet from a great vintage. Showing nice complexity and a great mouthfeel.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show the big tannins. After 4 hours it is very tannic.
Still young and needs another 5 to 10 years of bottle time.
Alcohol is well integrated by now. Very tasty and rich.
Thank you Scott for sharing.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
