Steely, almost like a subtle river gushing of salmon and fresh glens of grass all around.
Bursting with a fleshy peach and apricot intensity, balancing with a little citrus tangerine, and a hint of that petrol you get in Riesling. But not at all overbearing. A nice minerality and effervescence to compliment the drupe fruit flavors.
Liking this take.

Love this wine. Crisp and minerally. Would buy a case! — 6 years ago
Made from Tocai Friulano from the Collio region. Pale lemon color with aromas of white fruits and floral notes. On the palate flavors of stone fruits, honeysuckle and nutty notes. Medium finish, lively acidity, ending with floral, fruits and wet stone mineral notes. Great for brunch with some Eggs Benedict. — 3 months ago
One of the best Pinot Grigio I’ve had. Complex with spiciness. — 5 years ago
Nez ample, fruité, tabac, en bouche fruité , corsé , tannins souple, long en bouche 30$ — 7 years ago
Such a flavorful and complex Friulano. Leave this open at least one hour before consuming—decant recommended with aerator. Just the right age. So many flavors come out at once and across the palette: pear and apricot and citrus in succession. A great buy that stood up to Indian Rogan Josh. — 5 months ago
Great blend with Friulano (Sauvignon Vert) 50%, Pinot Blanc 20%, Sauvignon Blanc 20%, Pinot Gris 10%. The nose is intense and fruity. Peach, Lemon, Grapefruit. In the mouth is long and persistent. Bread crumbs. — 3 years ago
Fig, coconut, shaved fennel, almond oil, coriander seed, white pepper. Savory, penetrating, unctuous. Massive structure. Always one of Italy’s great whites, and the 2015 is a classic. #friulano #schiopetto #collio — 6 years ago
