Nice easy and smooth. Not sharp in the back of your throat. Liked. Mom liked — 18 days ago
So bright and perky for a 14 year old wine made from dried grapes! So bright and perky period, actually. Red-fruit forward but with plum fruit leather and dried apricot but like soaked in a brine of incense—there’s spice and leather hiding in there but the fruit leads the way. Heady. At least in alcohol department it’s a stunner in a leather jacket on a bike but once it escorts you to your picnic sport it’s all fancy, brie, baguette and grapes it may even peel for you (except not that because it’s tannins are so appealingly ripe).
It finishes like a likely spiced cordial who also knows how to spar, light on its surprisingly sturdy toes. — a month ago
Very dense and black in colour. These wines always remind me of Fruit and Nut milk chocolate. The colour makes you think full bodied but it’s actually light to medium bodied. A luscious mouth filling palate with the savoury milk chocolate together with notes of raisin and date. Supple yet persistent tannins. Reminiscent of a Priorat Garnacha in some respects. — a day ago
Bolder than expected. Dry and slightly acidic, with tobacco, plum, and cherry notes. Will get again. — 12 days ago

Another wine I bought from Garagiste but then was shocked when it came in that it was 15.5%. So I waited to have it with a very rich Italian braised chuck roast, and hoped that the body and alcohol would cut through the richness of the food. Bingo! It was an inspired pairing. The nose is complex, with macerated plum, leather, humus, baking spice, violets. In the mouth the alcohol is prominent, but the flavors are relatively intense and not jammy. This really needs a rich braised meat dish to not seem jarringly out of balance. I’ll give it a 9.1, but with that caveat. — 21 hours ago
