Bright dry green — 16 days ago
Before we take a sip, we must embrace this bouquet! The bouquet was amazing. Full of blackberries, cedar and oak. On the palet, this full bodied wine is on the dryer side but paired well with a Tuscan pizza! I guess it comes down to what you eat it with?! The Italians are the wine experts but the Portuguese do a great job! — 15 days ago
Once again: I'm not a porto fan. And this one is The exception. Maybe because it's 50 years old, whether it's f.ckin' good. Smooth, elegant, with coffee, honey sweetness and very long finish. Best porto I've ever had. And probably the last one. — 8 days ago
Nose has blackberry jam, moist leather, fig paste, charred wood, chopped dark chocolate and faint vanilla.
Palate has dried blueberry, blackberry, dried black currant, muddy garden soil, faint dried strawberry with mild tannins and medium acidity.
Solid pairing to a baked 'Mac & Cheese' dish fancied up with a béchamel sauce, Gorgonzola & Fontina cheeses, breadcrumbs and Casarecce Corte pasta. (Interpretation of a recipe courtesy of Joanne Weir) — 14 days ago
As good on the palate as more pricy ports — 4 days ago
Dry and funky peach, a bit grassy. Fairly light body at 10% abv. 4 months of skin contact in cement tanks. — 3 days ago
Really enjoyed this wine. No harsh after taste. Just the right amount of fruit flavor. Yum. — 6 days ago
Effervescent. Not sweet. Almost grassy. Delicious — 5 days ago
I was at the vineyard in 2019, so when I saw this I had to grab it.
Vibrant (can’t find another good descriptor) purple in colour.
Needs a bit of time to open up, but when it does… Forrest fruit. Oak. Smoke. Tobacco. Complex yet still delicate. Finish lingers.
Such a solid wine… and it’s organic! — 3 days ago
