Cincuenta y Cinco Pinot Noir 2019

Long decant. Deep purple, lots of dark fruit on the nose. Tannins still hiding some of the fruit but this is dense, balanced, and tasty. — a day ago

Felipe Rutini Merlot

Softer and more feminine than their Cab/Malbec blend but really opened up into an opulent wine. — 15 days ago

Lunita Patagonia Pinot Noir 2017

Had this about 9 mos ago. Developing nicely. A real find from Argentina. Light Ruby with aromas of fresh red berry fruits and notes of floral spice. On the palate cherry with a touch of raspberry flavors adding in fresh spices, very soft integrated tannins with a great balance. Long finish ending with fruit and mineral character. Nice! Grab a bottle if you find one, it’s worth the hunt! A fav!! — 10 days ago

Bodega Chacra

Mainque Chardonnay 2017

A collaboration between Bodega Chacra and the great Jean Marc Roulot. Instantly Roulot tension, palate tingling acidity and precision are noticed. Nose is a bit musky and subdued. Opened up to show white flowers, citrus blossoms and stony minerals. Finishes with impressive length and energy. The wine is aged in old barrels from Roulot Meursault. Really cool collaboration. — a month ago

Treinta y Dos Patagonia Pinot Noir 2013

A top Pinot from the bottom of the globe. The color is medium ruby with strong scents of red fruits: strawberries, cherries, raspberries, some floral aromas as well. The fruit persists on the pallet with big bursts of cherries and raspberries; medium acidity and light earthy spices. Very smooth wine with delicate tannings and slightly fruity lingering finish. One of the best, if not the best, Pinot Noir from the region with great aging potential as well. — a month ago
