Bodega Chacra

Barda Patagonia Pinot Noir 2022

Really quite nice. On the very restrained end of the spectrum. 12.5%, quite herby and minerally vs fruity. Hadn’t had Chacra before and so made it part of my “branch out” case with wines from outside of France, Italy, and Germany. Nice pairing with mustard and tarragon chicken thighs. Great delicacy to the mouthfeel. Finish a bit lacking keeping this from being higher. — 19 days ago

Bodega DiamAndes

Clos de los Siete Malbec Blend

I think this is an amazing Malbec blend - 58%, 23% Merlot, 10% Cab, 8% Syrah, and 1% Petit Verdot but… it needs to open up a little bit more; I can’t help being impatient- this wine has been 9 years for me to find it tucked away in a small city Arkansas liquor store. Initial impressions are - I love this but and the intricacy of the blend. On the nose - definitely blackberry and black currants. So smooth and perfectly balanced on the palette. I would definitely purchase this again but I’d look for an older bottle for sure! Oh, did I mention this bottle cost under $20? — a month ago

Dominio del Plata (Susana Balbo)

Crios Torrontes 2021

Pale straw in color; peaches, rose petals, and citrus zest on the nose; medium acidity; tastes like lemon, perfume, and lychee (I think). Nellie says it's ok. A little too tart for her tastes. I like it and I think it will pair well with ceviche. — a month ago

Golden Reserve Luján de Cuyo Malbec 2019

v19. This is really good! Soft white pepper and cedar nose. Fresh, deep, rich black fruit licorice. Tight, chewy, smooth, long, slightly astringent, dried herbal spice and mocha finish. Nicely balanced. — a month ago
