Peirson Meyer

Russian River Valley Chardonnay 2011

2011. Floral and vanilla on the nose. Rich and creamy, but with enough acidity to balance perfectly. Mouth filling orchard fruits. Long finish. I hope I can keep enough in our glasses until the roast chicken is finished cooking… — 4 months ago

Ahr Spätburgunder 2018

Bright, translucent, fruit forward yet with the unmistakable Ahr light touch.
Bright, crunchy cherry with some darker accents, herby undergrowth, a touch of anise & orange zest, a whiff of milk chocolate. Highly inviting.
Fresh, sappy, pure and with great flow on the palate. Crunchy tannins, very juicy cherry acidity, and uplifting mineral finish.
Nothing overly complex or profound yet so delicious. Beats most Villages Bourgognes, at a fraction of the price.
And this is his entry wine!

Gentil Alsace White Blend 2020

Lovely blend. Medium-plus acidity and medium body. Pear and a dried floral note with the bass support provided by deep and rich spices. Would drink over many—but not all—Rieslings. — 4 months ago

Really great! Opened light and then deepened. Would definitely try again. Thought it would be a good summer red but was more interesting. Great value. Kurt wine. — 4 months ago

Blauschiefer Spätburgunder 2012

Nice Pinot Noir if the fruity variety. Overly acidic in the finish, but still an enjoyable fruity wine to be drunk chilled with comfort food or pre-dinner. — 10 months ago
