Penchuga Joven Mezcal 1859

This may be the single best mezcal I’ve had outside of Oaxaca. Not cheap, it was about $60 at Total Wines. But a treat for sipping. — 9 days ago

Domaine Saint Vincent Méthode Champenoise Pinot Noir Rosé

Interesting angle of both sweet and bitter, with tantalizing notes of both orange rind and orange marmalade. Pretty decent bubbles. — 9 days ago

Flama Roja Como Vino Al Mundo Tecate Nebbiolo

An unusual but pleasing expression of Nebbiolo, coming through with dark fruit like plums and figs, with some pyrazine goodness balancing things out with flavors of jalapeño, and an unmistakable taste of something smoky, almost like beef jerky and leather, on the finish. — 14 days ago

Vinícola La Trinidad

Minotauro Cabernet Sauvignon Zinfandel 2017

Blend of cab, nebbiolo and zinfandel. Needed some time to decant and burn off some heat. Cranberries, oak and plum on the nose. Tons of earthiness on the palate, with a fair amount of alcohol, and touches of vegetal, ripe fruit, and more earth on the finish. Quite good. — 3 days ago

Casamigos

Blanco Tequila

Shout out to @Ron R on this great bottle of Tequila. Had it mixed in our home margarita recipe and on a stand-alone basis. While this makes for a great mix the standalone shows a soft vanilla and caramel that finishes with a velvet smooth texture. — 10 days ago

El Tesoro

Paradiso Extra Añejo Tequila

👍🏼

K&L notes, Attractive aromas of cedar, caramel, crushed pineapple, eucalyptus-vanilla, and fine tea with a round, vibrant, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a smooth, complex, very long allspice, lime leaf, dried mango, smoke, and sea salt finish. Exotic aromas and superb integration make this the Cognac or Single Malt-lovers Tequila; a must-try." (04/2019) Distiller's note: "A distinct tequila, El Tesoro Paradiso® is slowly aged for five years in French oak ex-Cognac barrels. Created by Don Felipe Camarena in collaboration in with Alain Royer of A. de Fussigny Cognac, this unique tequila has an earthy taste with a hint of minerality, tropical characteristics, and sweet notes of butterscotch."

We are not into hard liquor, but this was a treat to sip on. Sweet, herbal and layered. New to us and would certainly take another look at this - Sag Harbor..

Hah! @Hanibal I used the term “liqueur” in this context as a simile. Primarily with regards to the weight and viscosity of this tequila. Apologies for any confusion caused.
