Fun to compare this famed Chilean cab, also from 13’ in magnum, to the Merryvale cabs.
A bit more savory and herbal, with hint of green bell pepper that’s signature of Chilean cab. Ripe dark fruits intertwined with tart fresh cherry fruits made for a supple yet vibrant palate. Quite elegant.
I was not very impressed with couple of the older vintages I tasted. But this is great! — 9 months ago

I’ve loved the 16’ bottling, but this magnum shows why 13’ will be better in the long haul.
The restrained nose exudes bouquet of blackberry, cassis, dry herbs, wild mushrooms, graphite, and dark roast coffee. Full elegant body. Rich and dense. Firm tannins start to soften.
This will last another 10-15 years easy. — 9 months ago
Good and crisp. bought at Tokyu honten for ¥4,500. — 9 months ago
An oddly-named bottling. “Oakville Grade”? I suppose majority of the juicy from Oakville, but I could not find much information on this 15’ blend.
Gentle nose of red cherry, blueberry, black currant, creme de cassis, fresh herbs, and vanilla. The medium to full body feels weightless at times. Full of fresh sweet (a bit too sweet for me) cherries flavor. Silky, plush, almost feminine. Finely grained sweet tannins.
From magnum. This is still very primary, and will have a long life ahead. — a year ago

Deep ruby color. Aromas of blackberries, black currant, baking spices and smoke. Great flavors of black fruit, sage and pepper. — a month ago
