1999. My daughter’s birth year wine. She loved the dark cherry balanced with the vanilla oak. When first opened, the aromas had briny olives, leather, and herbs. Then the oak came in, then the fruit. Fun to try and enjoy!

What friend Chris from San Jose came over tonight to share a wonderful wine with the Chicago pizza. I had no idea this was going to be the focus of the meal! Very very solid red with multi layers

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! Intensely tannic at first but once decanted, it opened beautifully. Violets, tobacco, cacao & tart cherries. Really excellent.
