Bright red fruit of raspberry, tart cherry, and cranberry with a hint if pencil lead. Unoaked, medium body, high alcohol, and high acid with a medium finish. — 11 days ago
Popped and poured. The 2005 Cheval des Andes pours a deep opaque garnet/purple. Currently throwing some slight sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous. Lovely black and blue fruits, teriyaki, balsamic, purple flowers, leather, and baking spices. The same on the palate. In total balance. The finish is long, dry with integrated tannins and good acid still. Long. This is really in a gorgeous spot right now. My only bottle of this and so happy I enjoyed it when I did. Enjoy now or over the next 5-10. No decant necessary. — 14 days ago
Mostly Cabernet Franc (92%) with just a touch (8%) of Malbec. Dark ruby color with a light lavender colored rim. Intense aromas of black fruit, black pepper and a whole lot of expensive coffee notes. Dark fruits also dominate the pallet. Hints of menthol, dark chocolate and black pepper as well. Nicely balanced and well structured. — 25 days ago
Not a fan of the 37.5lb bottle. But what’s inside is super cool. Really elegant pinot w/ sour kirsch, cranberries, and nice little background funk. Great stuff. — 7 hours ago

Cab is difficult to get right. The Argentine are making strides with this verity and this is no exception. It’s full bodied with ripe red fruit, rich and smooth with a spicy finish and little to none of that vegetal note. Good pqr, interesting label, rare single varietal, an oddity of sorts. Yup! The perfect wine to enjoy at at my local wine bar. — 12 days ago
