Bee Hunter Wines Elevate Pinot Noir 2017, California
A very pretty ruby in color with a wide brick/ reddish rim.
Fruity nose with cherries, blueberries, vanilla, licorice, oak, spices, light vegetables, herbs and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate and fruit forward with cherries, strawberries, raspberries, light chocolates, spices, light oak, rose pedals, herbs and peppercorn.
Long finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a very nice Pinot Noir from California. Easy drinking and well-balanced with a soft mouthfeel.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, and good right out of the bottle.
Tangy and fruit forward. Rich and elegant with nice complexity.
I love the fact that it is relatively low in alcohol. A great porch wine.
A good quality wine that will age nicely in the next 5 years.
Grapes are from Mendocino County (68%) and the rest from Sonoma County.
13.2% alcohol by volume.

Strawberry, melon and black pepper on the nose. Fresh blackberry, cranberry sauce, green bell pepper, balanced acid, a touch of butteriness at the end that rounds everything out. — 8 days ago
Given to Warren years ago and opened for first post COVID dinner 5/29/21 with the usual crew of eight who were class of ‘78. Surprisingly no hint of the metallic notes I remembered but just that complex evolving swirl of flavors of these old Cabs on the nose and palate with lingering finish. Joy to drink. Probably the last one. — 14 days ago
Grapefruit aromas and flavors, tart citrus acid, lingering minerals for a long finish. — 19 hours ago
Chenin Blanc’s day is coming, and PAX really gets it right. The nose is pretty restrained but on the palate the wine is broad and satisfying. It has a great weight and texture, the finish is clean. Fantastic with our spread of Sonoma County cheeses. — 2 days ago
Fruit juicy co-fermentation...85% Sangiovese 15% Fruilano. Early heat wave at Michigan Lake house... slight chill, tempted to break out the ice cubes. Tannic grip on finish, strawberry/fruit punch aromas... nice bright acidity. Very unusual, but fun... can imagine this as a yummy slushee. — 22 days ago
This is a wonderful white blend from California. A great collaboration between a French and a Californian wine makers.
Showing citrus, lemons, apples, pears, minerals, herbs, spices, light earth and white pepper.
Medium bodied with medium acidity. Crisp and refreshing.
Dry on the palate with some light RS.
Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Shows nice complexity already. Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 years.
I paired it with a duck Pâté with cognac. Delicious.
A blend of Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier and Picpoul Blanc.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
