Interesting and complicated. A varietal that we rarely approach. Tropical notes on the nose and palate. It displays effervescence on the mid palate, which I find distracting. But the pineapple notes draw you in. A very sweet finale left us thinking this was somewhat of a hybrid between Sauvignon Blanc and champagne. — a month ago

Traditional Champagne blend of Chardonnay (40%), Meunier (40%) and Pinot Noir (20%). Medium gold color. Aromas of pear and apricot. Palate is more dried fruit (green apple and quince) focused with hints of toasted nuts, honey and baking spices. Nice citrusy finish and creamy texture. Rich and elegant. Excellent starter. — a month ago
Bought at retail; label indicates it was bought from a private collection before importing. Was an excellent bottle but showed older than I think a 99 should have so I wonder about how it was stored - maybe a passive cellar that had some temperature variation? Glad we popped this one when we did. — a month ago
