Pale pale yellow - incredibly pale for a 13 year old wine. All the descriptors for aged Hunter Valley Semillon - Lemon, beeswax, wet straw, lanolin. Still with sprightly acid - zesty. Will go on for a few more years. One of the premium Semillons in the Hunter along with Lovedale and Vat 1. ILR standing for the owner and winemaker, Iain Leslie Riggs.
