Belle Glos

Las Alturas Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020

‘Las Alturas' Spanish for 'the heights', a fitting name, this vineyard located on one of the highest grape-growing benches in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. 4th gen Winemaker Joseph J. Wagner from family with farming & winemaking roots in Napa since 1906. Met Joe several times. Deep Ruby (darkest Pinot I have come across). Nice berry and floral spice aromas. Rich cherry/plum flavors with oak, spice and vanilla. Long finish, bold ending with sweet oak notes. Nice! A Fav! — 15 days ago

Quivet Cellars

Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Really nice! Darker black/blue fruit requiring 2-3 hours of air at this point. May give it another 2-3 years before sampling again. — 3 months ago

Schrader Cellars

LPV Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Despite low professional ratings on release Id buy again at the appropriate price. Has Aged gracefully at this point. Probably the most feminine schrader as some call this style of wine. Reminds me of a Shafer. — 7 days ago

This is a nice and easy drinking Spanish Garnacha blend.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Showing red and black fruits with wood, earth, herbs, coffee, peppercorn, licorice and light vanilla.

Good right out of the bottle and better after an hour of airtime.

Tangy and interesting. Elegant and fruity.

A blend of 70% Garnacha and 30% Tempranillo.

15% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

Château Léoville-Las Cases

Grand Vin de Leoville du Marquis de las Cases Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2000

Even at 23 years this is still baby and needs another 5 years to fully open with integrated tannins. Started to open after a good hour in the glass. First taste after a pour acidity and gripping tannins. — 8 days ago
