Le Barrettage Syrah 2014
This wine is a play on Rhone Hermitage style wines, named Le Barrettage. If you had this blind, you wouldn’t necessarily call Syrah and certainly not Rhone.
This is a very ripe, lush, rounded wine that is pure elegance. Dark fruits, strawberries with blueberries over the top, rich, moist dark earth, used leather, lightly savory meats, black pepper, underbrush, great round acidity with bight; dark, red, purple and blue florals. Good young and will age easily 10 years.
All of the La Sircena wines are small production. Hundreds of cases. 2500 cases of total production.

Knights Valley Malbec 2016
This is a very rounded, elegant and nicely polished Malbec. As you know, many Malbecs can be rugged and rough on the palate. Not the case here. This is the second Winemaker that I’ve had other than Charles Hendricks that knows how to make an elegant, soft and well rounded, brilliantly floral Malbec. Wire to wire this wine is beautiful, balanced with polish for days. River like acidity. — 8 months ago

Art protect red blend. All over the place, in a good way, lots going on... It’s a blend of seven Bordeaux and Rhône varietals. There’s fruit, spice and earthiness, but somehow it is all ties in together nicely on the pallet. — 25 days ago
