A grower from Amador County send out post cards looking to sell his fruit. One of those went to Heidi Barrett. She actually called him. He was more than a little surprised that Heidi Barrett was calling and had to do a double take. Shortly thereafter, she flew herself up to Amador in her helicopter and the rest is history.

The Rosato is made from Primitivo. It’s delicious! Not too sweet. Blood orange, rhubarb, poached strawberries, great white spice, excellent volcanic with just right intensity & perfect, fine chalkiness. Nice round acidity & smartly polished. Just the right level of sweet, not overdone.

I took two on my way out.

La Sirena Rosato 2019: Medium-light bodied. Well balanced. Light acidity. Nice minerality. Strawberry & citrus flavors with a bright & clean finish. Made from Primitivo grapes sourced from Amador County in the foothills of California, this is the perfect “fun to drink” or “easy to love” rosé wine. Let’s not forget this rosé comes from the talented winemaking skills of Heidi Peterson Barrett 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 All in all, a perfect selection as schools out & summer’s here! Let the summer camps & play dates begin! Make it a unique & magical day! Cheers ☀️🧜‍♀️🍷
