The '10 Jemrose Viognier 'Egret Pond Vineyard' is a hazy bright yellow with a slight green edge. I immediately picked up ripe peach, apricot and ginger aromas. The palate matches with some additional tropical fruit flavors. A nice lively minerality keeps it all fresh. Paired well with the simple Georgia shrimp appetizer. — 7 years ago
Silly good for $15 from LastBottle — 8 years ago
Still very closed. Tannins are high for a CA Grenache. Extremely restrained fruit from cool Bennett Valley. Good acidity, and instead of bright fruit there is secondary tobacco, wood and spice with some sour cherry. You get some garrigue, blood and menthol later. — 6 years ago
Shane makes amazing Syrah. Deep black fruit and minerals on this one. — 8 years ago

Tasted this about a year ago. This second bottle does not have the wow factor like the first one. The nose is less fragrant and more meaty, and the palate a bit more herbal and angular, which is probably true to the varietal. Still a very complex wine. Have 1 bottle left and hopefully I can keep my hands off for another 2-3 years.
250 cases, and I believe the wine maker for the vintage is Bevan. Bennett Valley is the smallest, and probably the least known Sonoma sub AVA. — 8 months ago
