2013 at top level continues to drink fabulously, and Mugnier’s Fuées, a magical vineyard and essentially a southern extension of Bonnes Mares, is stunning today on pnp (although last sips were the best) wafting layers of sweet strawberry-rhubarb, sous bois, rose petals, game and smoky minerals. It’s liquid velvet in the mouth with an energetic spine of cool minerality and balanced acids adding freshness and focus to its delivery. It’s simply a beguiling combination of power and elegance and a superb expression of the vintage. — 8 months ago
2005. So freaking smooth. Great balance. Little dark fruit tartness toward back. Wish had a touch more young fruit on the front. But so good. — 4 years ago
Upon uncorking the bottle, we felt it was the most structured and bold out of all the wines. Poured into the decanter and revisited after two hours. By then the nose had blossomed into seductive aromas of red cherries and earth, which made us all point to GC in the blind tasting. As the Mugnier developed over the course of the evening, this kept singing and staying linear as indicative of it's youth. Second favorite WOTN. — 7 years ago
So expressive, finessed & elegant with its perfumed nose of red cherry, berry fruit, vosne spice & floral notes — a month ago
Celebrate birthday, the 2007 DJP Musigny drinking nicely, smooth and savory. But as comparison wise , I love the Jacques Fredric Mugnier Nuits-St-Georges 2014 better than this. — 3 years ago

Let’s explore this 2009 Clos de La Maréchale!
It’s medium ruby with garnet around the rim. The nose is positively perfumed with notes of violet, rose, boysenberry, mulberry, ripe black cherry, kirsch, clove, cedar, vanilla, cardamom, anise, chervil, fennel fronds, leather, crushed stone, forest floor, tobacco, peat moss, and mushroom.
On the palate this wine is dry with medium (+) acidity, a medium body, high alcohol (14% ABV), flavors are concentrated and consistent with the nose. It has a lingering finish.
It’s multifaceted, vibrant, layered and delicious – cheers to exploring the world of wine one sip at a time! — 3 days ago
