Hawk and Horse Vineyards

Red Hills Lake County Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Last bottle of this vintage and think it should be drunk now. It will likely last another 10 years but may not be same quality. Decanted this for 30-40 minutes and it opened up slightly. Very smooth on tannins and mellow. — 5 months ago

Barbera

Oddly enough had to go to Ohio to drink Ca grapes. Solid Barbera. Let it sit for a bit and when it opens , dam. That’s a good wine — 2 years ago

Columbia Crest

H3 Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a great everyday drinker. Aromatic nose, burst of fruit on the palate. Medium-low acid, smooth tannins. Nice warming finish. Black cherry, currant, raspberry, plum. End notes of oak, vanilla, and a hint of cocoa. Adding to my regular rotation. — 4 months ago
