Columbia Crest
H3 Horse Heaven Hills Merlot
Horse Heaven Hills, Columbia Valley, Oregon/Washington, USA
The 2019 Merlot is spicy and perfumed with wild blueberries, cloves and dried flowers. It boasts silky textures and inner sweetness as red and blue fruits flow across a juicy, acidic core. Tobacco, cocoa and lavender resonate toward a finish framed by a gentle coating of rounded tannins. $15.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2023)

Nice Merlot for the price. It would be nice if it had a bit more oaky finish but overall I like it and find it pairs well with pasta.
