From the Veneto. My first taste of a single varietal Groppello. Aromas and flavors of ripe/candied dark fruit (Rippasso?), Uber chocolate, mushrooms, and baking spices. Hint of rose petal. A bit jammy but there is a very pleasant sour cherry finish. Medium body, soft acidity and very mild tannins. Interesting and unconventional. — 9 months ago

2014 Cantrina Valtenesi (Groppello). Really good. Don't remember having a Groppello before. Strawberries, red fruits, reminds one of a Good Beaujolais. — 8 years ago
