Really impressive on opening. Tastes like a Pinot noir should. Cherries, rose, a bit of fern like hiking in CA redwood grove, there’s some strawberry, some dust, plum skin. Interestingly the aftertaste, maybe 20 seconds later suddenly has a sweetness to it that I really enjoy. Drinking really well now on opening. Grateful to try this. — a month ago

Delectable doesn’t recognize the label correctly. This is the 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis 1st Cru Les Chaffots.

Just had to have this tonight as I couldn’t let Peter drink his premier cru by himself. Not sure if he was picky or had the wrong year, but this one was incredible. And hate to say it because I don’t like paying so much money for it. But ahhh it was awesome. You know it when you fight your wife for the last sip! Strong earthy undernotes but so vibrant, such bright layers of red fruit. Yum! 😋 — 2 months ago
