One of the best pinot noir — 11 days ago
Spices and nice dark and red fruit on the nose and palate, nice balance, medium bodied plus with a soft texture of tannins, good. 89-90
Notes constantes, un beau fruit, des épices, bien équilibré, assez puissant mais sans excès, des tannins approchables et de belle texture. 89-90 — 2 months ago
Beautiful wine. Strawberries, ripe raspberries, some spiciness on the nose and early palate. And even a bit of smokiness (?). — 4 months ago
Nose has dried cranberry, ripe cherry, dried green herbs, black peppercorn, ripe blackberries, mushroom, dried mint and cherry jam.
Palate has phenolic cherry, anise, sweet cherry, under-ripe blackberry, leather, with chewy tannins and a lightly spicy finish.
An interesting showing tonight after a +5H decant, not displaying the same pedigree as our prior bottle ~2Y ago.
Nose has ripe cherry, wet grapevine stalks, dried cranberry persists with dehydrated blackberries. Palate is richer today with more sweet cherry and leather notes prominent, tannins diminished but present. Score change from 9.2 > 9.3 today. — 4 months ago
This 2005 has settled nicely into a certain genteel personality, toned down it’s earthiness, and certainly a great companion to the pan-seared salmon with shaved truffles that my daughter and I had for dinner. Pleasant and adequate. — 2 months ago
Impeccable. Citrus explosion on the nose. Palate is mineral-driven, with freshly squeezed limes, and a hint of lanolin. The acidity helps generate a sense of urgency on the mid-palate, coupled with a cold steel note. Wonderful with ceviche - The Fulton at Jean Georges. — 5 months ago
