Rotes Tor Federspiel Grüner Veltliner 2011

Very nice with the age. Nice mix of flowers, fruit, and pepper on the nose. Quite deep and refined but good acid and a nice finish. — a month ago

A very nice, “normal” Auslese at 22 years with 10 more possible. Clean fruit, medium-bodied, and not overly sweet. — a month ago

Mosel Feinherb Riesling

Lightheaded bites. The smell deceives you that there’s a nose but a sip bites your tongue and almost a savory flavor for a Riesling. There’s some power there that surprises you and gives you almost the salty brine of a dirty martini. Delicious especially on a hot day. — 3 months ago

Cantaloupe! Acid is shy, but it works for the texture here. Don’t let it get too warm. — 2 months ago

Val Venosta Riesling 2018

No notes, but Alpine wine is a cat nip for me, so I went in biased & (predictably) came out happy. Valle D’Aoste Riesling with some bottle age. Rounded, golden, & goddamn good. White flowers in sunshine + de-sweetened lemon curd. Has some texture too. At 15$ another crazy Eddie (For anyone who grew up in NYC in the 70’s, that’s for you) value. — 7 months ago
