Elephant Hill

Arcudi

Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Has the 16 nose, but tight like the Chappellet Pritchard Hill. Not a fruit bomb, I should of given it 10 more years. If you find one hold it for 10-20 years, — 7 days ago

Chalk Hill

Estate Bottled Chalk Hill Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Blend of 96% Sauv Blanc with 4% Sauv Gris adding an interesting dynamic to the wine & distinctive aromas (prior to ‘18 vintage some Semillon added). Pale lemon color, citrus, tropical & floral aromas. On the palate peach, melon, herb & earthy tones, well balanced with acidity, smooth yet robust on a long finish ending rich with wet stone character. Good value! A Fav!! Very consistent! — 20 days ago

Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay 2011

California burgundy style
Hard to beat old Edge Hill Bacigalupi in California, recommended white Burgundy from
@David T at $ 40.00 takes the checkered flag though.

Walter Scott

Freedom Hill Vineyard Chardonnay 2019

This wine is going to be incredible in a few years, lemon, orange blossom, green apple, green pear, minerals, medium plus tannins, nice grip. Well done Walter Scott! — 13 days ago

Cardiac Hill Vineyard Syrah 2010

Tasted this about a year ago. This second bottle does not have the wow factor like the first one. The nose is less fragrant and more meaty, and the palate a bit more herbal and angular, which is probably true to the varietal. Still a very complex wine. Have 1 bottle left and hopefully I can keep my hands off for another 2-3 years.
250 cases, and I believe the wine maker for the vintage is Bevan. Bennett Valley is the smallest, and probably the least known Sonoma sub AVA.

Kumeu River

Hunting Hill Chardonnay 2016

Serious wine. Easily Burgundy 1er cru level in terms of size, structure, and complexity. Oak influence is strong on both the nose and palate, but it is perfectly balanced with the fruit, and the steely struck match smokiness. Citrus, stone fruit, mineral, mixed with caramel and brioche notes. Very long and built to last. Impressive and worth every penny of A$66. — 10 days ago
