Blend of 96% Sauv Blanc with 4% Sauv Gris adding an interesting dynamic to the wine & distinctive aromas (prior to ‘18 vintage some Semillon added). Pale lemon color, citrus, tropical & floral aromas. On the palate peach, melon, herb & earthy tones, well balanced with acidity, smooth yet robust on a long finish ending rich with wet stone character. Good value! A Fav!! Very consistent! — 20 days ago

Tasted this about a year ago. This second bottle does not have the wow factor like the first one. The nose is less fragrant and more meaty, and the palate a bit more herbal and angular, which is probably true to the varietal. Still a very complex wine. Have 1 bottle left and hopefully I can keep my hands off for another 2-3 years.
250 cases, and I believe the wine maker for the vintage is Bevan. Bennett Valley is the smallest, and probably the least known Sonoma sub AVA. — 19 days ago
Serious wine. Easily Burgundy 1er cru level in terms of size, structure, and complexity. Oak influence is strong on both the nose and palate, but it is perfectly balanced with the fruit, and the steely struck match smokiness. Citrus, stone fruit, mineral, mixed with caramel and brioche notes. Very long and built to last. Impressive and worth every penny of A$66. — 10 days ago
