Marey-Monge Romanée-St. Vivant Pinot Noir 2014

A legend amongst fine Burgundies. The color seems young, still, medium garnet and very light rim. The nose is truly captivating with clean potting soil and soft ripe red fruit aromas. The mouthfeel is even better with cherry, clean earthy flavors, mushroom, and hibiscus. This is a fine, delicate and perfectly balanced wine: as decadent as Pinot Noir can be! — 3 months ago

Marey-Monge before it went to DRC (1962). Extraordinary: ripe, plummy, rich, fat, imperial; all the body and richness you want, even after 50 years — 6 years ago
