Reynard Cornas Syrah 2001

Another great one from the master showing dark fruits, graphite, spice, floral, meat & violet. Still very youthful at 20 yrs with amazing complexity & balance — 8 days ago

Crozes-Hermitage White Rhone Blend 2019

This is really really good. A wine to have with food. Not over the top. Wow. A wine to buy a case of.

Nose is so mineral. Hint of tropical fruit. As it opens so elegant.

Palate is mostly mineral. First impression is almost chablisien. Then you get some nice tropical fruit. Great balance. As it opens a mountain stream infused with peaches and papayas. So elegant. Like tropical Chablis. Delicious in an elegant way.

Not a lot of affordable drinkable rhone wines. Especially when young. You can have this with fish, veggies, chicken.

Bought from fass selections.

Cornas Syrah 2017

Blue flower perfume. Anise seed. Dusty minerality, granitic. Delicate tannins within a supremely long, tart, palate of purple raspberries. Elegant and juicy body and finish, with a firm mineral spine. Fantastic. Such elegant wine. Subtle and pretty. Nice perception of sweetness. Will only get better. — 14 days ago

M. Chapoutier

Monier de La Sizeranne Hermitage Syrah

History of Chapoutier family dates back to the early 19th century when current owner Michel Chapoutier’s great-, great-, great-grandfather Marius purchased estate & famous l’Hermitage vineyards. Medium Ruby with aromas of rich red/black fruits and spice. On the palate raspberry, cherry & black currant flavors with notes of oak. Firm tannins, well balanced ending with fruit, spice and cedar. Very nice! Tasting Sample. Has lots of room to bottle evolve. — 6 days ago

Les Chaillées de l'Enfer Condrieu Viognier 2015

Popped, about 1.5 hrs slow ox. Just a hair behind my last btl, which was excellent. Another excellent showing with tangerine and honeysuckle, vanilla cream and lovely minerality...starting to hint at those signs of age I don't like in condrieu, however. For my palate, drink up. — 14 days ago

Classy Rhone. Open for 30 min, rounded and soft on the nose, blueberry/raspberry with an undercurrent of dry earth. Some spice on the palate. Well made. — 3 days ago

NV Fresh fruit salad and yoghurt for breakfast. Eating in the garden. And this festive sparkler with irresistible Muscat Clairette liveliness. Underestimated. Have a good Sunday! — a day ago
