Bought at Total Wine 2021. Dry . Taste pear and apple. Drinking in Washington with Patty and John. Really good. — a year ago
The new Family Reserve is a clear ruby in the glass with color to the rim. Somewhat shy nose of black cherry and weak tea. Palate is medium bodied and confirms the nose with medium acidity and medium tannins throughout. Wow! The good folks at Coelho brought their A-plus game to this one! A super elegant PN that will serve every purpose you have for Pinot Noir, including holding if you wish. Classic pairs are its friend. Unusual pairs will sing too. Drink now through 2026. — 5 years ago

Light yellow gold. Inviting nose of baked quince with savory spices. Medium palate echoes the nose adding subtle hints of burnt butterscotch, and citrus rind. Medium plus acidity at the core that softens a bit back palate. Finish is long and clean, extending the pome aspects of the palate. A solidly New World Chardonnay with an Old World feel. Richer white wine fare (cream sauces, heavy seafood) will be well supported. Drink now through 2025. — 9 months ago

Clear dark ruby. Black cherry compote(!) on the nose. Echoed on the medium palate with a terra cotta and vanilla cream undertone and medium, woody tannins that assert as the wine opens up. Medium acidity and a medium finish round it all out. Judiciously oaked and leaning austere, the "Two Brothers" exemplifies Willamette's place between California and Burgundy; fruit forward but a natural as the universal red. Drink now through 2027 with any "red wine" fare. — 2 months ago
