Wine-aisle stop-worthy just because of the traffic light red flashing here! Just the color alone draws in the consumer from the other pale roses blending in with the crowd. This red-blooded Italian exudes pomegranate-driven flavors and dry cranberry. It’s sangria without the sugar, fruit floaties or patience. Excellent wine. Perfect blend of Nero and Frappato. Great initial taste and drinkable now but also complex and with backbone. Amazing wine out of Sicily — 7 days ago
Sweet lemongrass and hibiscus smell, good leathery sweetness but very little, mostly acidic with tannin woody finish, prune and raspberry - really opened up with great sour fruit complex and acid finish that’s clean after an hour — 4 years ago

The darkly alluring 2018 Cerasuolo di Vittoria wafts up with spiced black cherries and licorice lifted by violet florals and hints of camphor. The 2018 has a silky-palate feel with ripe, textural red and black fruits. It finishes long yet clean, with rounded tannins and remarkable balance. $21.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2022) — 2 months ago
Bright red. Vibrant sour red cherry, citrus peel, floral and anise scents boast good clarity and offer a spicy nuance. Clean and fresh on entry, then fleshier in the middle, but surprisingly lean and taut on the back end, offering juicy, sweet and sour orange and strawberry flavors. Finishes long and racy, with lingering spiciness. There’s just a trace of dilution in the middle or my score would have been even higher. (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, June 2018)
