A delightful Rhône style wine from Bonny Doon. Sorry to see this disappearing as Randall Grahm moves on. May 2020. — 4 months ago
Fruit from historic 140 year old Bechtold Vineyard in Lodi. 13.4% ABV
this year, Ive had a few bottles of Cinsault from this vineyard from a few different wine makers. The Bonny Doon release has been the most fruit forward and super enjoyable.

Organic, dry farmed, whole cluster pressed, 16 months month on lees, Method Champenoise, zero dosage, California Sket Riesling, 13.5% ABV ... Boom!
Fruity, apple cider, bitter dry edge, straw, pleasant cleansing acidity. Classic.
Loved this wine since 2006 (first vintage, from another vineyard, crazy level of acidity) Great now, and would love to see it down the road.

This 2009 unfiltered GSM + Cinsault blend is 10+ years old. Some cherry and earthy qualities. The aging has been good to this resulting in a much more subtle long finish. September 2020. — 11 days ago
Terrific paired with ground turkey, scallions, brown rice, and... garlic. Nice tannins. — 2 months ago
62% Grenache, 38% Mourvèdre, 13.5% ABV
Very henodonistic library pick to crack (100% Stelvin), peach, raspeberry notes, fine tannin, great acidity, slight toast note in the finish. Slightest of chill-room temp best. So delicious now, but allow wine to mature, allowing peach notes to condense into the lees with softer tannin... good things come to those who wait. Viva la Rhone, Buddy!
Per Winemaker - “While virtually all of the ’18 vintage Vin Gris will be consumed within a year of purchase, may there be a few smart cookies who put the wine aside for several years to see it reach its full potential (and will be enormously well rewarded for doing so).” Couldn’t agree more, would love to revisit at 10+.
Paired with planked Salmon, wild rice, and Green Beans. — 4 months ago
