Aia Vecchia Sor Ugo Bolgheri Superiore DOC 2017: A mouth-watering blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc & 5% Petit Verdot. It’s round & rich, but not overpowering. Flavors of dark fruits & spice with a smooth, long-lasting finish. This was my Italian red selection from last week’s virtual wine tasting. Have a fantastic day! Cheers🍷 — 14 days ago
Absolutely mouthwatering. Decadent, bold. The most mouthwatering pour I’ve had to date. I’d love nothing more than this bottle as my life partner and to have to to hold. — 18 hours ago
perfume of dark berries, fig, baking spices & tobacco ~ the dark berry flavors lean a touch jammy but are in check by a quick pop of crunchy red fruit, some Asian spices, and a hint of Mediterranean herbs ~ plush mouthfeel w soft dry finish ~ lovely #SuperTuscan to follow next 15 yrs! — 23 days ago
Antinori Wine Dinner. A unique dessert pairing. Ricotta flan w/gorgonzola fondue, and...a Merlot? This worked surprisingly well...more like a cheese and Bordeaux mashup. This vintage was more problematic and the wine was a bit harsher than ‘15 or ‘16. — 13 days ago
A very fruit-forward Cabernet S. driven blend. Lots of dark, sweet, brambly fruit, with a touch of licorice and tar/black olive. Smooth & rich on the palate w/o being plush or overripe. Nice balance & precision and finely grained, juicy tannins. Lacks a bit of depth, though, plus the 14% alc are noticeable.
A nice one though, esp. with croque monsieur. — a day ago
Очень приличное и приятное, классически тосканское. На запах ярко-кисло, надо декантировать. На вкус чернослив, ягоды, кислотно, капелька конюшни. Очень пристойно. — 11 days ago
