Ls Cerezas Vineyard Tempranillo 2014

Underground shit. Single barrel of Lodi Tempranillo 44 months in neutral oak. Cedar and tart and complex. Turning creamy and peppery with air. Basically a Gran Reserva Rioja from Lodi California. Great with grilled lamb. — 2 years ago

Quinta Cruz

Bokisch Vineyard Albariño 2015

As a Riesling fan I'm happy to see that Albariño is getting so much attention nowadays. Jeff Emery's effort under the Quinta Cruz label is a fine specimen. Floral nose, crisp citrus flavors on the palate. I'll be back for more. — 5 years ago

Las Cerezas Vineyard Albariño 2017

Beautiful floral and oily fore pallet that gives volume without sweetness. Finishes crisp and clean. Slight bit of sweet grass with pomelo dominating. Great mouthfeel for a floral white. Compliments all food. — 4 months ago

Onesta

Bokisch Ranch Viognier 2013

An interesting Viognier probably a little past prime. A little dusky on the nose. Smelled like lemon air freshener in a YMCA locker room. This did improve as it warmed to room temp. Definitely full bodied with some crushed rock and pumice stone. Meyer lemon and orange blossom. Nice little wine, but guessing it had quite a bit more acid 3 years ago than it did today. — 2 years ago

I’ve had this producer’s Petite Sirah and actually really enjoyed it, so I was glad to try another one of their wines. I didn’t get to this until it had been open an hour and it smelled like pineapple and mango juice. Didn’t get any floral or mint notes I commonly get with Viognier. Light and clean on the palate with lots of lemon and pineapple.

Clay Station Vineyard Borden Ranch Verdejo 2019

Oily coating mouthfeel gives you just a touch of decadence before the mineral and acid cleans and refreshes your pallet. Ripe yellow Mellon, pineapple guava and a hint of lime and sweet grass. Stunning wine. — 5 months ago

I’m going to have to pick some of this up! Haven’t had their wines in ages.

Andrus Island Vineyard Albariño 2018

Nose: sea salt, lemon, white flowers, peach, tiny hint of petrol.
Palate: similar notes, but they kind of flip intensities on the palate— ripe citrus, ripe peach, sea salt, flowers, stones
High acid, medium weight, 12% alc
