Au Bon Climat

Santa Barbara Historic Vineyards Collection Los Alamos Vineyards Chardonnay 2019

Talk about classy (or classic) Chardonnay, don’t matter really, this is both! This is in its own league when it comes to Chard. It’s crisp yet round, bright yet balanced, and acidic yet unctuous. Not old world but not typical Cali Chard. Must try this ABC. Cheers. — 24 days ago

Tinto Reserva Ribera del Duero Tempranillo Blend 2019

Delectable Wine
9.3

The 2019 Reserva comes from old vines in Pedrosa del Duero in Ribera del Duero and was aged up to 19 months in French oak barrels. Garnet-red in hue. The aromas range widely, from strawberry to plum, along with balsamic hints of herbs and jam. Plush and creamy, the robust but fine tannins support a structured, surprisingly nimble mouthfeel with good depth and energy. The Reserva is a long-lasting, ripe Ribera red. Los Alamos Vineyard Chardonnay 2021

Delectable Wine
9.4

The 2021 Chardonnay Los Alamos Vineyard marries the aromatic lift of this site with a good deal of stony intensity and drive. There's an understated depth here that is absolutely beguiling. The Los Alamos is usually a more ethereal wine, but the 2021 has an added kick if mid-palate richness that is compelling. Citrus peel, mint, white pepper and chalk linger on the bright, intensely saline finish. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2023)

Tinto Crianza Ribera del Duero Tempranillo Blend 2020

Delectable Wine
9.2

The 2020 Crianza is 100% Tempranillo from Pedrosa del Duero in Ribera del Duero. Garnet-red with a purple sheen. The nose presents blackcurrant and sour cherry notes along with wild herbs and hints of blood. Dry and juicy, the well-calibrated tannins are neither overly extractive nor too rigid, establishing an energetic, fluid palate with a gentle, long-lasting, lactic mouthfeel. This is an elegant take on Ribera. (Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, November 2023)

Clos de los Siete Malbec Blend 2019

Blend of 50% Malbec, 24% Merlot, 11% Syrah, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe berry fruits floral and spicy herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry and juicy plum fruit with spicy herb, cacao and toasty oak. Fine soft tannins, well balanced, good acidity, long finish, almost creamy, ending with fruit & oak. Nice value!
